Aw... Nice try, pals! [He moves the dot around again, to see how they react.]

Try more hard! Get red bug! [She still hasn't made the connection between the pointer and the dot yet, so she and Twin are going to separate for a moment before trying to approach the dot in a pincer movement. Of course that still fails and he just ends up pinned under her for a moment.]

[Oop, now he's starting to feel bad. He sets down the laser pointer and steps towards them.]

Are you alright?!

[hootheart]

[Tiera glances around, quickly rolling off Twin. He seems more dazed than hurt as he shakes his head to clear it.]

Yes. See bug? [She's still glancing around, trying to find where it flitted off to.] Fast. Can not catch.

[trenchdoting]

[He offers a sheepish grin.]

Um, well... About that... You sure that's a bug, pal?

[hootheart]

Small. Fast. Bright color. Look like bug. Act like bug. [She stands up straight again.] What else?

Or maybe something a little more like... a laser?

[hootheart]

...laser? [She's thinking more of the giant blasts of light that some Pokemon can fire.] Laser big. Loud. Destroy.

[trenchdoting]

Yeah, but not all lasers are! [he takes out the laser pointer and hands it over to her.] Check it out, pal!

[hootheart]

[It takes a while for her to figure it out, but she finally manages to push the button and make a dot of red appear on the ground. She blinks, releasing and pushing the button a few more times.] Most small laser. Not hot?

[trenchdoting]

That's right, pal. You got it!!

...Sorry for tricking ya!

[hootheart]

[She looks a little unhappy, but doesn't actually move to attack him at least. She finally stands up and gives a little nod.] Fine. Understand now. Not trick twice.

[trenchdoting]

Right. I promise never to trick you again, pal!!

[hootheart]

Dick Gumshoe, pal! I'm a detective!

Detective. Solve mystery? Why all people here?
