[and, after Dennis and Dee introduce their corpse and Erika runs off, she would eventually make her way back to the crowded bar area, with her arms full of evidence.]
Ladies and gentlemen, your attention, please!
How do you do? I am the Great Detective, Furudo Erika.
I have performed a complete examination of the corpse of one Ronald, alias 'Mac', McDonald. ...This is not the name of the emcee and corporate mascot, but an actual person. His Pennsylvania state, United States of America government issued ID proves this was in fact his actual name.
The corpse was found in the dressing room of Dennis Reynolds, along, presumably, with Dee Reynolds at the time of discovery moments ago.
Ronald 'Mac' McDonald is definitely dead.
Judging by the smell, the state of his various bodily humors, and rigormortis, it has been about a day or so since he passed.
He has no obvious physical wounds. He was not killed by any physical trauma.
He had been drinking a large amount of alcohol. I believe poison was introduced to him this way. However, I believe his poisoning was due to another unknown agent, rather than alcohol poisoning from rapid over-consumption, or a death caused from choking on his own bile.
His death came relatively quickly, likely within a few hours. I have a sample collected of one of the bottles he drank from, but, there's not enough materials here in the studio for a full toxicology report. ...It's probably arsenic, cyanide, or strychnine, though. Those are the old favorites, after all!
[heeheehee]
There is though, enough material for... everyone's favorite bit of evidence... fingerprints!
[she grins]
Three sets of fingerprints were found in the room. --Exempting myself, since I had to pick up one bottle before the contents were lost on the floor. The primary prints, that are present on most of the bottles, match that of the deceased, Ronald 'Mac' McDonald.
There are two sets of overlays on top of these prints. --Given that Dennis and Dee Reynolds have claimed friendship with the man since before his death was known, and they discovered the body, the prints likely belong to them. ...This can be easily confirmed if they'll offer their fingertips for examination.
[pause, calm little smile]
The state of the bottles, and the unique label on one of them with his name, leads me to believe Ronald 'Mac' McDonald was specifically targeted for poisoning. This was not an accidental murder.
However the poison was introduced, it was done without leaving a new set of fingerprints, or from disturbing the ones already present. Possibly it was introduced, and then the bottle resealed, before Ronald 'Mac' McDonald even lay a finger on it.
I have sealed the dressing room that the corpse is in to preserve the crime scene. Presumably this was Dennis Reynolds room. If he wishes to open the door, he should have myself present to verify when the seal is broken, and so I can reapply it afterward.
...Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go shower. I need to clean off Ronald 'Mac' McDonald's bodily fluids and rinse any traces of poison I touched off of me.
