[ Santa leans against the bar next to him. He doesn't ask what the something shiny is. ]

[He doesn't even have to ask what he means.]

[Tilts his head to look at him with his good eye.]

...Ah, that's the hardest question to answer right now.

Feel like telling me what's up? [ Santa looks him straight in the eye. ] I know I'm basically a stranger, but sometimes it helps to talk to someone who doesn't know you from shit. Then they can't judge you.

It's just that I don't know how to put it into words.

[Puts his free hand to the arrow mark freshly tattooed over his heart, like it hurts. It's easy to see the tattoo with how low-cut his outfit is.]

And I'm worried about the future. ...No, I'm worried about Lord Corrin. More than myself.

I figured we weren't strangers, but I was being cautious. Didn't know how you felt about it.

I'm worried about him too. He's going to get his heart broken by this crappy place. You know him better than me, what will he do in that case?

[ He's been through games already. He's done this before, and had to fight through. ]

[ Santa gives a humorless smile. ]

[It would have been instinct for Corrin to just reach over and touch his shoulder, but with everyone getting tattoos and getting after-care, Corrin thought it was best not ot touch him.]

I'm very impressed with you tonight, Niles. [Yeah, he's sure they both know about the whole 2 people dying concept... But he will at least bring a positive in.

I'm not sure how I managed it, but at least I can pay off that debt from the first round.
