 [ BEEP BEEP SO YOU THINK IT'S TIME FOR A MINIGAME. NOT QUITE YET. FIRST THERE'S SOMETHING HAPPENING TO THE TABLETS. MORE LIKE TO THE ROSTERS. EVERY SINGLE TABLET IS DISPLAYING THE ROSTERS AND SOMETHING'S GOING ON.

TEAM C SUDDENLY HAS A FEW NEW MEMBERS?

[ Suddenly, Mayhem on the screens! He opens his mouth for a speech. ]

I am the raccoon cleaning your garbage team from the rankings. I  -- 

[ FLO SMACKS HIM OVER THE HEAD. ]

 -- am going to shut up now, thank you. It's been decided that Team F is performing rather poorly, and with the low numbers of C, we're taking advantage of the chance to dilute the pool. Let's hope that this leads to a new, better horizon for everyone involved.

[ Claps her hands! ]

Now, moving forward! Today, we're feeling musically inclined, so it's time to battle things out... with our instruments! Yes, a good old Battle of the Bands. Take the chance to perform your hearts out, because who knows the next chance you'll get to express yourself

[The only reason she's been able to keep her head up like this is because of the people she's met here. They were the real source of whatever strength she had.]

Oh! No that's not necessary. I'm not a real teacher or anything.

[Her cheeks turn pink and she shakes her head quickly. This precious girl is flustered easily okay.]

O-Okay. Let's see... it looks like we have everything we need.

[MOVING ON It looks like there's some blank staff paper sitting on it as well-- probably for people to write out their songs. It'll do. She starts drawing circles on the lines and spaces. With each circle comes a letter from A to G.]

[great! time to get started. and she does get flustered easily indeed.

Not just yet. First... thsee are the different notes. In music, notes cycle from A to G and then back to A again.

[What she's drawn up for him is a chart of the notes and their names.]

Make sense, yeah... so.. care to show me on the piano? [he shifted in his seat next to her, getting excited to watch her.]

[Haru places hers on the keys-- with two empty white keys between her thumbs.]

Should go like this. Your left pinky will be on the same note as the thumb on your right, just an octave lower. Give it a try.

[okay, so listening to her instructions battler did just as he was told. he placed his hands on the keys and then looked to her.]

Yes, that's right. So-- lets start by playing something simple. For now, you will just focus on your right hand.

When people write music for piano, it's written on two different sets of lines. The top covers the upper range, which you play with your right hand and usually contains the melody and the lower covers your left hand which usually has a simpler composition that fleshes out the sound.

[Haru quickly writes out a simple melody on one of the blank sheets. It probably still looks like gibberish but there's only five different notes total if he counts.]
