True. Logically speaking, the lack of showcasing it could go against the aesthetic they're going for here....but if that were the case, why murder anyone? It makes no sense.

I don't know. Maybe... they're trying to mess with us. Scare us, or something. Like Akechi-kun's the detective, right? They explicitly called him the "detective prince", so maybe they really are making a show of it. Like, I dunno--

[ she clears her throat and puts on a stereotypical peppy announcer voice, as if trying to mock their hosts ]

"Will the popular detective prince find out what happened to our cute cat burglar~? Find out in the next episode!" Or something like that.
