Once again, Arataka Reigen has won immunity, because, I mean. Seriously. His work has been printed up at poster size and hung up around various parts of the studio. You might even catch it happening; a chunk of the wall will dislodge itself, spin 360 degrees, and then blend seamlessly back into place, now with the poster on it.

[ Simon clears his throat loudly, and Taka screeches for good measure. That's right, everyone, it's time for "Some Asshole Bossing People Around" O'clock! ]

Yesterday, a question was posed: If indeed the "winner" of the vote is tasked with executing the "loser," can we, in good conscience, continue on with our previous plan? It would be ludicrous to assume that everyone will cooperate, after all. What's more, our current volunteer, Kay Faraday, does not wish to take a life.

I would like to suggest an alternate plan. Rather than concentrating on those we wish to safeguard, we should turn our votes against those from whom we are safeguarding ourselves: Namely, those who cannot cooperate with the group. Fiona has confessed to voting for Handsome Jack, and Matt Engarde was almost certainly the vote on Fey-dono, a person from his past who can personally attest that he is not the harmless dimwit he is pretending to be, but rather a savage stalker, kidnapper, and murderer.

My proposal is this: All those who do not wish blood on their hands, vote to oust Fiona. All those who can live with the result of their choice results ending with a man losing his life, vote for Engarde. As the former has no issue with vigilante justice, it should not be difficult for her to enact it against him, and the number of people whose personal agendas conflict with the safety of the rest of us is narrowed by two.

I am not contesting your motive. There's a reason why I'm proposing you be the one who survives this vote, after all.

As for the other two voters, I don't know who they are. Would you care to enlighten me?

I shall not stop Engarde if he wishes to speak. Let that loathsome worm wriggle as much as he likes.

[It's... really a very logical plan. In this case it really might be the best they've got. She wants everyone to be safe too-- still, she'd never really thought about risking Engard's life. Even if she was certain no one else had a reason to go after her. She'd wanted him to go home where he could continue to serve his sentence properly. But... that's... probably a little too idealistic.]

I really hoped it would have to come to this... but I don't think it's wrong to think like that in this situation either.

[She smiles weakly.]

What? No. I mean, I don't care about the other guy, but that's a dumb reason to vote out Fiona. You want to know whose "personal agenda conflicted with the safety of the rest of us," it's Handsome Jack's.

There were other actions she had available to her to prevent whatever damage he may have done — warning the rest of us, perhaps? — but she simply made the quiet decision that he should die. Right or wrong about him, confessed or not, you can hardly call that action noble.

Besides, shouldn't you be eager for your friend to be removed from the game safely? Even if she loses her prize, she'll still have her life.

Um... I'd like to make sure she gets out safely too. As long as we work together I think we can ensure that. It worked last time, right? But... Maybe we could take a preliminary vote and give them to someone we can all agree on to see how close it might be or... what kind of result we'd get.

Given most of us have only met you a few days ago, we can't exactly know who knows who.

So, why does Mister Manacles believe her over you? For that matter, why should we take your world over this Fey person's?

That's better than risking a kid having to kill someone or a random bystander... But we'd have to make absolutely certain of the vote count. People would have to announce what they're submitting this time.

We can do a practice run ahead of time. I would say five is a good number to shoot for with the secondary votes; enough that it will be difficult to overturn by a malicious party, but not so much that it poses a threat to the primary vote.

Have you informed Faraday of this and got her permission? Because it wouldn't do to have her telling people to vote for her, and then having you telling people to vote for Fiona. That's a good way for your little plan to be disrupted.

Do you think me an imbecile? Of course I spoke to Faraday-dono. I swore to her that we would not put her in the position of having to take a life.

How do we know Engarde is really guilty of those things?

He was proven guilty in a court of law. Several of us were aware of his incarceration, and I knew him personally. What's more, his kidnapping victim is present here and can speak for herself.
