Day 4

[ Good morning!

Once again, Arataka Reigen has won immunity, because, I mean. Seriously. His work has been printed up at poster size and hung up around various parts of the studio. You might even catch it happening; a chunk of the wall will dislodge itself, spin 360 degrees, and then blend seamlessly back into place, now with the poster on it.

For everyone who participated in the logo contest, you may select a free Blu-Ray to be delivered to your dressing room. There's a wide selection; you can pick something from your own world or something from an alternate universe. You may have accidentally picked something from an alternate universe. Enjoy finding out as you watch them!

What? No. I mean, I don't care about the other guy, but that's a dumb reason to vote out Fiona. You want to know whose "personal agenda conflicted with the safety of the rest of us," it's Handsome Jack's.

There were other actions she had available to her to prevent whatever damage he may have done — warning the rest of us, perhaps? — but she simply made the quiet decision that he should die. Right or wrong about him, confessed or not, you can hardly call that action noble.

Besides, shouldn't you be eager for your friend to be removed from the game safely? Even if she loses her prize, she'll still have her life.

First of all, you can't ignore the fact that you're putting her in danger by telling people to vote for her when obviously not everyone's going to vote according to plan. What if enough people agree to it and then secretly change their votes that the guy you think is so evil gets highest instead and she dies?

Second of all, has it occurred to you you're kind of punishing honesty here? She's not the only one who voted off plan, just a person who openly admitted to it. You're making this about retaliation, and that is not going to make this game go any better.

Third of all, she is the only person here I trust and I do not want to go through the rest of this without her.

I don't particularly see the chance to leave this sick circus as a punishment, nor do I see why anyone would kill her intentionally. If anything, they will attempt to kill another, unrelated person. If we coordinate ourselves and limit the number of votes on Engarde, she should be safe.

At any rate, someone needs to be voted out, and it needs to be someone who is capable of killing another. Do you have a better suggestion?

Sure. How about you? If you think this is a sick circus and all, and you're so willing to kill this guy.

Once I have ensured the safety of those I have vowed to protect, I shall go willingly — to my death, if need be.

But for now, this group needs someone willing to step up make the difficult decisions. I can't say I saw Fiona making any efforts to take up the task.

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, you can't go out because you think you're too leaderly, is that right? Why is it that when Fiona decides someone needs to die, she has to go, but when you do it you're "making the difficult decisions" and you have to stick around? Kinda sounds like you're pushing the hard part off on her to me. Anyone can stand up and say stuff. I can promise I'll do that while you're gone, if that makes you feel better.
weeabird: (61)

[personal profile] weeabird 2017-03-08 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
The difference is that I am making my move in the open whereas she took a coward's route.

The difference is that while anyone can "say stuff," I actually did. That I did it for the sake of saving innocent lives, not the selfishness of wanting to continue to play with my friend.

If you can't comprehend even these simple things, I have nothing else to say to you.
partcompany: (057)

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
The cowards are the people who voted for other people and didn't say anything about it. Fiona made a deliberate move for Jack. Has it occurred to you that if people hadn't voted for Jack, this Fey person might have died yesterday?

And I already told you that this could get Fiona killed. That's not selfish! You're the one who's the coward by trying to put that risk on someone else rather than doing it yourself!
weeabird: (22)

[personal profile] weeabird 2017-03-08 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
And if everyone had followed the plan, no one would have died yesterday!

Also, I can't help but notice that you weren't protesting against organizing a vote to remove someone when we were planning to do it to the children! Does the danger only count when it's someone you, the great leaderly Rhys who will surely stand up and say stuff next time, personally care about?

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, shut up! The danger is totally different when everyone's publicly agreed to vote for one person! The chances of so many people switching their votes to one other person that they place second is way, way lower than this, where—w-where—

[ugh]

—you're deliberately trying to split the votes between her and someone else, and obviously not everyone is agreed to vote for Fiona in the first place, starting with Fiona and me, because, oh right, you picked someone unwilling without even asking them first?
weeabird: (justice-dono you kuso-wanker!!)

[personal profile] weeabird 2017-03-08 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Because no one has volunteered, and we cannot trust someone who has already gone against the agreed-upon plan!

[ slams his fists into a table, which seems to calm him down a little ]

...Last time, 30 cooperated with the vote for Ticky. If we arrange, say, 5 votes for Engarde, the tides swinging against her are overwhelmingly low. Rather, it's all the rest of us who are in danger of discreetly changing votes.

So why don't you do it, huh?

And don't give me the hard decisions thing again. Or the thing about sticking around to protect people, because, hey, isn't that basically just "selfishly wanting to continue to play with your friends"? However much you think they need you, I—

[he breaks off there because he realizes he's about to say something embarrassing but realizes he's gone too far to back out now]

—I need Fiona. So.

Um... I'd like to make sure she gets out safely too. As long as we work together I think we can ensure that. It worked last time, right? But... Maybe we could take a preliminary vote and give them to someone we can all agree on to see how close it might be or... what kind of result we'd get.

[Just. An idea to try and help.]
partcompany: (060)

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
It worked last time because we had a single volunteer everyone agreed on! Not... Not Fiona and a murderer he wants to place second. Why are you so set on Fiona!
spiritualfigure: (pic#11072386)

[personal profile] spiritualfigure 2017-03-08 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Maya flinches but pulls herself back together to think.]

I guess if we had another volunteer that would be fine too. But I'd still want to do the same thing. I don't want to put anyone at risk. Especially not because of me...
partcompany: (069)

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
You mean a volunteer. Fiona is not volunteering. Why don't you get your friend to do it?
spiritualfigure: (pic#11072386)

[personal profile] spiritualfigure 2017-03-08 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
I meant Kay-- because she was worried about being forced to hurt someone. I wasn't talking about Fiona.
partcompany: (059)

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
...Right. Sorry. Whatever. Anyway, point still stands. This guy's the one who thinks this is such a great plan, why doesn't he go first?
spiritualfigure: (pic#11072407)

[personal profile] spiritualfigure 2017-03-08 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Maya shakes her head and smiles.]

It's okay, don't worry about it. I know you want to just want to protect her. That's why I want to work together. We want to do the same thing. Prosecutor Blackquill might not say it the best, but I know he wants to do the right thing too. It's... a pretty difficult situation for all of us.

[Ahem. Now that that embarrassing little bit is over--]

Right. So. Let's see if we can't find a volunteer together.
partcompany: (065)

[personal profile] partcompany 2017-03-08 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
...Uh-huh.

Sure, I guess. I'm fine with anyone who's willing to go out.
weeabird: (7)

[personal profile] weeabird 2017-03-08 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
This is a good idea — rather, I would say it is a crucial step. We need to ensure only a small handful are voting for Engarde.
spiritualfigure: (pic#11072398)

[personal profile] spiritualfigure 2017-03-08 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Good. Good...]

Right. I was thinking that if we could get someone like Erika to take them and count them, we can get a rough idea what we're dealing with.
weeabird: (just as keikaku)

[personal profile] weeabird 2017-03-08 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
She's a good choice. I'm sure the lass will be delighted to take the role.
