[ Instead of his normal morning announcements, this morning you awaken to… Ronald McDonald playing a lovely tune for all of you with his band. Audible even over the metal is a louder sound of scraping, and a low rumble that persists throughout the song. ]

[ Afterward, you'll find that a new hallway has appeared in the studio. Where there was once an empty wall, there is now a theater! And your tablets will display the rules for a brand new competition… ]

Yeah the whole band got the flu. I mean, they did. We didn't get the flu, we just almost died because we stopped drinking for awhile.

Wait, so is the gang and the band not the same thing? ...this was a long time ago, right, please tell me you weren't recently around people with the flu.

Boyz II Men and a lot of the city got the flu, it was a couple years ago. The gang is me and the other people at the bar over there, and the Frank who just died. Frank didn't sing with us, though. All he could do was beat the shit out of drums.

[For the first and probably the last time, Lotus looks a little bit sad that Frank is dead. Not that the man himself has stopped existing, but that the passing has somewhat deprived this overgrown puppy dog that can walk on two legs, talk, and drink beer. She elects to distract him.]

I see. Is Rhys actually part of the gang? His robot arm seems like it would be handy for automatically playing instruments and avoiding organic infections.

I've never met Rhys before this, but he seems cool? Dennis hooked me up with him a couple rounds back for voting.

Oh, that's really considerate of him. Dennis and Rhys must have so many cool stories about their adventures overcoming the odds in the last game.

I have my own gang, I guess. Snake, Santa, Clover, Jumpei, and June. Seven was in it too.
