[ Instead of his normal morning announcements, this morning you awaken to… Ronald McDonald playing a lovely tune for all of you with his band. Audible even over the metal is a louder sound of scraping, and a low rumble that persists throughout the song. ]

[ Afterward, you'll find that a new hallway has appeared in the studio. Where there was once an empty wall, there is now a theater! And your tablets will display the rules for a brand new competition… ]

Forget this band thing for a bit, get you a nice drink and let you talk it the fuck out.

[She laughs, nodding.]

Well that doesn't sound half bad. We've got the time to spare this time.

[So she takes hold of his arm to head for the bar.]

We do, don't we? No running around trying to stab each other with needles.

[ He pats her arm and walks along with her. ]

That was a real race against the clock.

And now it's been a full week here...

[ He rubs his forehead with his free hand. ]

Too late, I'm being reminded, so you're suffering with me.

[As they come up to the bar, she takes out some whiskey to start mixing a couple drinks.]

Was there something you wanted to talk about, or just in general?

[jinglebros]

I thought you might want to talk. You seemed down for a bit there, you know?

[ Maybe he analyzed the situation wrong. He's new to this 'being nice' shit. ]

Oh- well, yes, a little.

[She also isn't used to people just asking how she's feeling or if she wants to talk about it...]

I miss Rudolf and Ange an awful lot, and frankly I'm a bit worried about them. But I'm sure everyone else is feeling much the same.

[jinglebros]

That doesn't mean your feelings aren't valid, you know? Don't bottle it up inside. That really fucking sucks when you do and then it blows up in ways that really screw up.

That's true, I guess I'm used to being the one who has to put their own troubles off to keep everyone else together. Normally when I'm in a tough spot, Rudolf shows up to save me. But that isn't going to happen this time and it makes me miss him all the more.

[jinglebros]

When you feel sucky or like things are shit, you can talk to me, okay? I know I'm a son, not a husband, but I've still got an ear and you can talk in it.

That's pretty good too. I just-- I'm worried about our daughter, if I go missing or die, I'm worried my family might try to take her.

[ He frowns. ]

Rudolph can't look after her?

No, it's not that, he's totally obsessed with her. But they could do something like that for ransom money or to make her take my place. Or they could hurt her out of spite for me. Or him. They couldn't get away with that with me around, but they're bitter people.
