[A wall panel in the green room slides out of view, revealing an elevator. Get in it and it will take you down to the hotel (description here), where your fellow contestants - alive and ghostly - await.

You may spend as long as you want here, ordering up as much room service as you like, but when you're read to go home, you'll find that one floor (new to the current hotel occupants) has nothing but doors with your names on them. Exit, and you'll show up exactly where you were when you left.]

For the alliance thing, you mean?

You really impressed Kyrie-nee-san, whatever you did.

I mean, there were a few reasons. Practically, I obviously wasn't going to get through to the end without some people on my side... so I always planned to group up with someone at some point. I didn't want to do it without seeing how some of the game played out, though, so I was just waiting it out at first.

Last time my team at the end was me and a friend from home, Dennis and Dee, and one more person. Dennis invited me to hang out with his friends at the beginning, but... uh, well, Dennis didn't actually win last time and the rest of his group kinda seemed like a disaster, to be honest. I had a better feeling about you guys. You seemed like we'd have good synergy. And that you'd actually be likely to win.

After I got to know Kyrie better on our date, and after Dee died, and with the truth serum and everything... it seemed like the right time.

We had a few trouble spots, but I'd like to think we were pretty well put together. [nods]

It worked out well for you, but... if you don't mind me asking, what did you say to her? Was it just general "I'd be trustworthy and vote how you tell me," promises?

She didn't extract any particular promises from me, actually. Mostly she just asked my opinion on whether we should be voting people to the hotel even if that means more people dying in the short term, which I agreed with. Ha, I guess it's kind of ironic now. I was like, "in theory we could even end it in one more round, but I doubt people are going to be up for that."

Oh, and she tried to set me up with you. Like, for a non-platonic date.

Yeah, I wasn't sure you were going to be as into that. I think she just figured you were more single than she is. Guess you won't be for long, though.
