ENDGAME

[A wall panel in the green room slides out of view, revealing an elevator. Get in it and it will take you down to the hotel (description here), where your fellow contestants - alive and ghostly - await.

You may spend as long as you want here, ordering up as much room service as you like, but when you're read to go home, you'll find that one floor (new to the current hotel occupants) has nothing but doors with your names on them. Exit, and you'll show up exactly where you were when you left.]

((THANK YOU FOR PLAYING EVERYONE. Ghosts, feel free to materialize and talk to people. You may now speak about your prizes.))

Your...prize..?

[Ene had said that before, that Ib's prize meant Mary had to go home, but even so it's like it isn't completely processing for Mary, even as she stands here real and breathing.]

Your prize...

[She just sort of...slowly points to herself, looking utterly dumbfounded.]

My big prize!

[ For the first time in a while, she's got a big, glowing smile on. ]

It was to leave the gallery and go home with you and Garry! You--You're back, they brought you back because I won, so they still had to give me my prize! I can't believe it...!

...It...was...your prize...

[It takes another small few moments for this to really hit her, and Mary doesn't start moving just yet, at least partially because of the visceral awareness of how much mustard she's covered in as compared to how much mustard Ib is not covered in, but—she's getting all teary-eyed, and it quickly becomes crying.]

You wanted...to go home...with me..?

[and garry, she guesses, but,]

Of course. [ Even when she'd barely known Mary. She wouldn't want to leave anyone in that gallery. ]

You get to come with me! You can meet my mother and father, too, I think you'll like them.

[For once, Ib is beating out Mary in intense energy?? She's stunned.

She'll get to see the world outside, she'll visit beaches and cities and parks like she'd always wanted. She'll get the chance to grow up to be a princess or an artist or a confectioner, she'll eat candy and play games and—maybe a part of her balks at the idea of meeting Ib's parents, at a family, because she doesn't know that she can ever, ever trust an adult again.

All because Ib is her friend. Because Ib wanted to go home with her.
]

Ib... Ib...!

[sorry about all of the mustard but Mary is sprinting forward to pull Ib into a hug, although she really just kind of half-collapses on her because figuring out her new limbs is really hard.]

[ only because she's so outrageously relieved. IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS. WITHOUT SANTA.

That said woah there friend. Ib tries to catch her as best she can, but she's still tired from beating on Junpei, so she more lowers Mary to the ground instead of letting her fall. ]

Do you feel tired? I was going to rest a little before I went through my door, so you can take a nap in a real bed if you want to.
