Huh...they actually killed someone on the first day.

[He's equal parts shocked and disgusted. He didn't know Ann, and it's not like his game doesn't pull the same kind of stuff, but given the format here it strikes him as odd and sinister.]

So we're down two people now, but only one is dead? Presumably, anyway.

But we haven't seen the body, right? The blood could just be... You know...

You have a point. But would our hosts really be the kind of people who pretend to kill people? How do we know that's not ketchup or stage blood?

It definitely doesn't smell like ketchup or stage blood.

[ Trust her. She knows. ] But if they were going to make the setup like this, isn't it weird that they aren't making a show of it?

True. Logically speaking, the lack of showcasing it could go against the aesthetic they're going for here....but if that were the case, why murder anyone? It makes no sense.

I don't know. Maybe... they're trying to mess with us. Scare us, or something. Like Akechi-kun's the detective, right? They explicitly called him the "detective prince", so maybe they really are making a show of it. Like, I dunno-- [ she clears her throat and puts on a stereotypical peppy announcer voice, as if trying to mock their hosts ] "Will the popular detective prince find out what happened to our cute cat burglar~? Find out in the next episode!" Or something like that.
