[For some reason, you feel good today...stronger. Which is great, maybe you're just psyched up for the latest ~fabulous event~ cooking from the ConAgra-McKee Foods kitchens...

[The Newlydead Game^TM ✨Super-Special✨ 👻Spooktacular🎃! 🗡Murdermance💘 at the 💀Murder Manse🏚!

[The house is a huge, Victorian monstrosity straight out of the mental idea of an Edgar Allen Poe story--delicate wrought-iron chandeliers and candelabra hanging from vaulted ceilings; ornately carved molding and flocked wallpapers, mosaics and inlaid wood floors. Most of the rooms seem legitimately old, cobwebbed and musty, with dusty dropcloths laid over the faded furniture, and distressing shadows cast in the flickering candlelight that never fails to not light up every corner, no matter how many candles are set up. You're not sure how the cameras are picking all this up with how dark it is. You honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of the taps in the bathroom actually run blood. A few of the rooms are locked, in particular a few bedrooms on the upper floors, and a heavy door off the mud room that's chained and padlocked; presumably it leads to a cellar.

[The exception to this is the conservatory, the one large room in a building filled with tiny, closed off rooms. One wall is lined with massive paned windows, another a huge fireplace, the others covered in stern portraits and other random Victorian-area knick knacks. And sprinkled around all of that are Halloween decorations, the kind more Pottery Barn than Party City. It's set for a party, complete with games like bobbing for apples and a spread of fancy Halloween "finger" foods and drinks that glow under black light. A playlist of seasonal hits like Spooky or The Addams Family Groove toots along near a dance floor. Need an outfit for the costume contest? There's plenty. There's also a smoke machine and a photo booth. In the backyard is a corn maze.]

Hellooo contestants, guess what time it isss? Why, it's only the best time of the year for sweeties like us! Time for Pumpkin Delights and Black Cat Brownies, the perfect treats to give to your trick-or-treaters this year! Now, even though someone's given US a trick today, we've provided a treat for you--a Halloween ball! Play with your fellow Casanovas, make your best impressions, and grab your favorite Sexy Pizza Rat cosplay! At the end, you'll get to choose from all the remaining contestants for your Marry-Kiss-Kill. And remember what we talked about last night--this time, if you deal to make it even, you're all going to be punished!

I got this locked door open. ...Can you bring that candle over here?

Oh, but are you sure you don't need some laguz eyes for this situation you two are fixing to get into~?

[Yup. There's a big blue cat trotting right up to the two of them.] How did you manage to open that?

Good call. You can take point. Ike and I will follow with the candle.

[Being strategic or just wanting more Ike time? Por que no los dos?]

I kicked it until it opened.

[Glares at the darkness.]

I feel like leaving you two alone is out of the question, honestly.

And consider this my wanting to help since I couldn't last time, Ike? Perhaps? [Ok, so the cat peeks into the darkness of the room and begins to step inside slowly, looking in all directions. ...Hoping there's only items to look at and not someone to fight, but claws are always at the ready... ]

[It appears to be a child's bedroom. The canopy bed is piled up with porcelain dolls. There's a window with curtains drawn. And in the corner, an item that someone else might recognize as being anachronistic and out of place, but to Ranulf just looks like a big wooden counter with a rectangle of glass in the front.]

[Puts his hand on Ranulf's back so the cat can guide him.]

What is it? Anything noteworthy in here?

Well, this is a peculiar room. It looks like a room for a child? There's dolls all over the bed.

...That must be a mirror in that corner? But I'm gonna see real quick if opening the curtains help any. [Slowly stepped in the direction of the drawn curtains, welcoming Ike's hand on his back.]

[Soren follows along closely, candle held up.]

[Suddenly, the curtains rustle.]

...Careful, something's here.

[Also steps forward, though he knows Ranulf is better for combat right now.]

[ He lets outs a louder growl as he got closer to the curtains, hoping the loud noise scares whatever is to at least get out from the curtains. He bats at the curtains with his claws. ]

[The curtains fly open, and Ranulf is attacked..........

BY A SPOOKY SKELETON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

seriously tho it's just plastic]

[ The plastic skeleton is batted around with a paw and when whatever is holing it up breaks... it falls onto the cat. He's trying to shake it off with a low growl!]

[Punches it off of him???]

[Watches impassively, idly wondering what it's made out of to glow in the dark like that.]

[Hearing the clatter of plastic, he turned to see the skeleton a heap on the floor. He sniffs at it curiously. Also kinda wondering how it's glowing...

He pokes at it some more with a paw.]

...At least it's not real bones.

[Glances at Soren. Opinion please.]

[Soren's opinion: CLEARLY UNIMPRESSED]

[Still feels the need to stay in front of Ike and Soren in attempt to be protective. ] You're an odd fellow. Give us a good reason why we should do a favor and I'll consider it.

Go back out there and tell everybody to be calm and quiet for a few hours, and I'll take over the game and make sure the girls stop doing reckless, stupid things.

...I really doubt anything I say is going to make anyone here sit quietly and do nothing.

[Everyone is already running around breaking and stealing things okay.]
