[ At midnight, the tablets burst to life, displaying the following results: ]

Charlie: 2
Ayato: 0

Emily and Ayato, come on down!

[ The TV screens start playing music as trap doors open beneath Emily and Ayato, sending them sliding down long chutes that drop them onto the main set, where Ronald and the King are waiting. ]

[ she attempts to take being slid down with a smile. ]

Ah, hello!

[ STOP LOOKING AT HER, KING ]

[ The King offers a Whopper Jr. ]

[ She accepts it but holds it like it has cooties. Ew, grease! ]

[ He then gestures toward a door on the stage wall, waving "bye-bye" with one hand. ]

[sodelish]

[ BYE BYE! She skips off and drops the burger somewhere between there and the door. The hotel is probably nothing like she imagines. ]

[godvicepresident]

[Ayato sighs, shrugging. Oh well. Maybe now he'll see what's beyond the afterlife. If it is he appearing in some other bizarre location again when his soul was supposed to pass on he's going to be seriously annoyed]

Everybody give a hand for our first big loser!

[ Applause and cheers comes from an empty audience. ]

Everybody's watching you right now. Is there anything you'd like to say to your fellow contestants or the kids at home?

I'm just glad it's over now and not later.

[His tone is rather cold. He just wants to get this over with, he never asked to join this game, after all]

We won't hold you up any longer, then. BK, would you like to do the honors?

[ The air around the Burger King seems to darken. ]

[godvicepresident]

[Ayato closes his eyes, waiting for what may happen. He's prepared to take it stoically and without saying a word or making a noise, as he tends to do.

Do it, Burger King]

[The strong, silent type, huh? Maybe for the best that Ayato isn't watching to see the darkness creep out from behind his plastic mask, and the void that lurks behind his eyes. As he draws closer, the shadows that envelop him grow and grow until both figures are swallowed whole.

For those watching, the screen goes completely black. There are several minutes of silence before the lights come back on. The King and Ronald remain on the stage; Ayato does not.]
