[ Did everybody sleep well? At promptly 6 AM, or at least what the tablets proclaim to be 6 AM, Ronald bursts in with the morning announcements. ]

Good morning, kids! Today we have a fantastic new game for you to play, and we think you'll have a lot of fun! It's fun, it's a classic, iiiiiiiiit's



[ The feed switches off, but only for a second before flicking back on so Ronald can add: ]

Oh, by the way, Seven died trying to escape.

Ah... the unstained, sparkling, toothy smiles of our children.

[Clink go the glasses.] Kampai~ [And then down the hatch. Lotus maintains a shaky smile, even as the red stain suffuses the surface of her teeth, during the first swallow. There! She did it! She swallows shakily and stares down into the glass. Now. She just... has to do this a second time. And a third time. Those times will come shortly. Any second now.]

[sips... this wine sure is delicious]

[surely much better than raw, freshly-squeezed ketchup]

[Glance. Maybe she should wash this down with that wine after this is over if Rosa likes it so much...

It's time for the second sip now. Lotus has to shake the glass a little harder to get the substance oozing out, and then more of it hits her at once. She blinks hard with it in her mouth and has to make multiple attempts at swallowing.]

[it's hard to watch, really. In-between sips she'll ask.]

...You all right?

[She flashes a jaunty smile that sets her head off balance. Her eyes are a little wide. With both hands now Lotus grips and upends the cup. The motion is more practiced this time and--

The ketchup is gone!! Success!! Victory!! So... why isn't any sound coming out when she moves her lips? Lotus underestimated the stress on her throat, apparently. Her voice comes out raspy and faint.]

Ah, jeez... jeez!!

[q-quickly moving to pour Lotus her own glass of wine]

Here, wash it down!

[keybroad]

[She takes the glass. Halfway through she has to stop for coughing, which is actually a good sign like when someone is drowning. By the time the glass is done, Lotus has her color back.]
