Game 2, Day 3

[ Did everybody sleep well? At promptly 6 AM, or at least what the tablets proclaim to be 6 AM, Ronald bursts in with the morning announcements. ]

Good morning, kids! Today we have a fantastic new game for you to play, and we think you'll have a lot of fun! It's fun, it's a classic, iiiiiiiiit's

[ The feed switches off, but only for a second before flicking back on so Ronald can add: ]

Oh, by the way, Seven died trying to escape.

Exactly. [Nod nod, it feels good to be understood for a change.]

For example, someone asks a ridiculous question, you lie because it's stupid. Then someone else asks a cruel one, you answer truthfully. But they announce that you lied at least once, so all your answers will be doubted.
keybroad: (Pout)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-09 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it would be rough to get asked "has someone ever died in front of you", and you say no because you don't want to relive the awful memory of just your grandma on life support or something.

[The cringe says it all.]

Not only that, we don't know how specific they'll be. Like if someone asks 'have you ever hurt someone' and it turns out stepping on their foot counts...

It's why I've been trying to stick to dares. I'd rather that, then have something misinterpreted so badly.
keybroad: (Worry)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-09 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Stare... she feels bad for Natsuhi, but she's also wondering just how this woman came to so greatly fear being misunderstood.]

You're pretty plucky to be trying any of them. Do you want another dare?
refusedtoleave: (Of course)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-09 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it might be a bit late for that. But I do need the points if I can finish it on time.

Rosa said truths are quicker, if you want to try that? As long as you don't ask something idiotic.

[Not like she's getting points for it anyway now.]
keybroad: (Think)

YEAH... YEAH

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-09 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, something innocent just to pass the time... What was your major in college?
refusedtoleave: (1)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-10 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Why would I have one? There's no need
keybroad: (Worry)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-10 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[She stares...]

I suppose you're getting along perfectly well without it. Okay, next question: When did you know you definitely wouldn't need it?
refusedtoleave: (What was that?)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-10 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
[She glares, it normally works with the teenage maids.]

A long time ago. Why does it matter!?
keybroad: (Ignore)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-14 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It... doesn't. Yeah, it doesn't. [At least, that's what she decides Natsuhi wants to hear.] I mean, besides, nothing that happens before has to matter anyway.
refusedtoleave: (27)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-15 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly! Besides if I needed anything explaining, then I can just ask my husband. I'm sure he'd be happy to.
keybroad: (Smile)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-18 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
[O K A Y]

Oh, it's nice that he's a trustworthy man. What kind of things does he know the most about?
refusedtoleave: (Of course)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-18 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Well he likes to talk about space. But I wouldn't say anyone know a lot about that... He has mentioned that he'd like to go on a trip somewhen. When everything settles down. I told you the type of places he likes, didn't I?
keybroad: (Think)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-18 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Taiwan and all that. I guess that fits with the space thing if he likes exploring. [TOO BAD HE DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT BUT HEY AT LEAST HE'S NOT MAKING AN INVESTMENT IN MOON TOURISM OR SOMETHING] Out on Rokkenjima, can you see the stars really well?
refusedtoleave: (16)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-18 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I think he wants to take Jessica somewhere before she's an adult. He hasn't said that, but there's a lot of things he doesn't say. [There's slight scoff.] When the weather is good. I can see them from my window.
keybroad: (Laugh)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-18 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Aw it's nice that there's a window... where she can see the outdoors.. presently confined Lotus is suddenly envious of past Natsuhi]

What do you think of it? That going somewhere else would make her realize how much she's got going for her at home? Be another place she could find to belong? Or that it's too risky far away...
refusedtoleave: (Um)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-19 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Would she still be if she knew how much it cost though?]

I hadn't thought of it that way. When she's in college and starts working she won't have as much time as she does now. It would be nice to get off the island for a little while.
keybroad: (Think)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-20 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, this way it will be a lot easier for her to take a trip during one of the school breaks. I think we do that better than America, having them through the year instead of one long break where they forget everything.
refusedtoleave: (1)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-20 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Are they really that different? I've heard they only have five days of school a week. I suppose that makes sense though. Apparently they have more compulsory years than in Japan...
Edited (I derped and repeated myself) 2017-05-20 20:40 (UTC)
keybroad: (Ignore)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-22 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, many things about American schools are different. A lot of the high schools even have compulsory driver's ed! It's so weird when I'm near a high school and see a lot of teenagers driving.
refusedtoleave: (38)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-23 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
The idea of my daughter driving is...

I'd rather not think about it.
keybroad: (Smile)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-27 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
If she does get into a college where there's a lot of driving, maybe you can afford a chauffeur.
refusedtoleave: (21)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-27 11:42 am (UTC)(link)
That might be the safest option. I don't think I'd ever see her again if she went on public transport.
keybroad: (Worry)

[personal profile] keybroad 2017-05-27 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It takes a lot of effort to learn to drive, if you don't take a course it's really no good. I learned that the hard way with my friend Clover... Your daughter might as well focus on bringing up her grades first.
refusedtoleave: (37)

[personal profile] refusedtoleave 2017-05-27 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Clover? She's that girl the one with the ponytails correct? She doesn't look old enough to be driving...

But you're right. I'd rather she improved her grades first. I might not like the idea of her using trains and buses, but taxis are reliable enough.
