You're literally the only person wrapping tattoos up. I should have just had you do all of them.

I'll believe you about the fun when I actually experience it.

I hope it does too, but I think after what I've done so far, I should get at least one. Thank you for letting me, though....

[Since this is going to be fairly big and she wants it to be even she sketches things out lightly on his skin with a marker before beginning.]

Okay, here I go.

[And off she goes to ink a pair of wings! It's not very detailed because he didn't want them to be extensive, lineart with a little shading, and extend from his shoulder blades down his arms to a little above his elbows. She takes her time in making sure that things end neat, but it still doesn't take very long for the size, because she's keeping it fairly bare. The bones of the wings are delicately traced in, and that's about as much detail as she adds. There's really only so much you can do with tattoos to be lighthanded, but she does try.]

Okay! I don't know if you'd want any color, but that would take longer, and it would cover more surface, so I didn't put any on for now. Here...

[She pulls out her tablet, takes a picture, and passes it to him.]

Does that look all right? I'm sorry it took so long.

[ Of course! Corrin knew of the booze and some people not exactly all sober that he let people take liberty on their tattoos. Though Zelda was doing a good job of convincing Corrin because he hasn't noticed if she's had any.

He gives a nod and raises his arm. He mentally prepares the needle that he's come to not be too fond of. ]

That's no excuse to make me the workhorse! I just have a vested interest in making sure you don't get infected since I'll still be seeing you even after this's over.

And don't worry so much! What movies do you like?

[Zelda is very good at restraining herself up until she gets competitive and wants to fight. But since Corrin is so pleasant and nice she's managing very well, lifting the needle slowly to make sure she can keep it steady and pressing it against his skin to start the design.]

[She tries to do as little as she can, because this much work has to hurt quite a lot, but it still takes a little while before she sits back with a sigh.]

Okay, here...

[She takes a picture of the new tattoo, a dragon curled around the other tattoos that are there now, and passes it to him, and while it's vaguely possible to pick out the outline now, you have to look.]

I could put more on so you wouldn't be able to see it at all, but I wasn't sure if you wanted to go through anything more right now.

Action movies, usually. The kind that has little plot and even less clothes.

[ Santa is predictable. ]

[ he gives her a big, grateful smile. ]

[More grinning! Thank god it's over... anymore second of the needle and he'd probably say something. ]

It's gonna look good, thanks, dude!

[ He sets to change the needle, that he watched other people do before doing this again. ]

Alright, I'm going in. [He will begin to get to work on this... bear with antlers ]

Yeah.

[There's a slightly awkward silence, or at least it seems that way to June, as she picks out a color of ink and puts it in first.]

I guess they wanted something to prove that this place had changed us forever?

[That's the best thing she's coming up with, anyway, at least other than "they want us to make bad decisions" but that just feels a little too grim to say right now.

She gets to work on the tattoo, adding colors as promised, but also adding new shapes and patterns within and with the colors, so it's more likely to count as its own work. Flames, flowers, a little tiny bird, a tiny elephant, several different ways of writing love, none all immediately visible, but there if you wanted to look. She changes colors as she goes, getting the hang of things a little more as she continues (she's not exactly an accomplished tattoo artist at home, after all). The end result is pictures hidden in the greater picture that was already there.]

Aquarius, if you know that one. It seems like lots of us come from places with different skies.

Probably more towards cute. Anything is more shocking if you hold it in reserve instead of splashing it on your skin, right?

I guess. That's then, though, and if we're going to get there we need to survive now first, so we should probably do what they're telling us to do. Do you want to give me a tattoo? Or let me give you one?

[he finishes greasing santa up then brushes off his hands on his jeans, getting to his feet.]

All done! So now we're gonna see what we've got to offer at the bar, find some food, then watch something trashy with explosions. Sound good?

[SHE SIGHS IN SLIGHT RELIEF]

All right. I'm sorry about the things that look a little off.

[Honestly after everything she's been through the pain here is no big deal, really. It hurts a little, and that's uncomfortable, but she'd rather be a little uncomfortable than have a wild line on something she is going to have forever, probably.]

Hey--we're going to be fine. Worry about that and you're just going to make yourself sicker. But if you're worried, you can give me a tattoo.

Anything with a flavor. Trash food tastes amazing. But good food tastes even more amazing. So it's tough to go wrong. I was just gonna scour the kitchen for whatever was there.
