Day 3
[ A bright new day has dawned, maybe. It's not like you can see the outside world. But the tablets keep diligent track of time, and promptly at 6am they provide something for you: A new immunity challenge. ]

Ah, but perhaps we are too wrapped up in asides.
Where did your vote fall, after all was said and done, Arataka-san?
no subject
In that vein, I voted for Ticky Mikk, exactly like I said I would. Who did you vote for?
no subject
My vote? Bien sûr, it was for Ticky Mikk. To cast a vote for another would be to become a murderer or an attempted murderer, something which the detective cannot, by definition become.

Incidentally, you did not sleep in your provided dressing room last night, did you, Arataka-san? Where did you sleep, if I may ask?
no subject
no subject
Yes. I am already aware of where you slept.
no subject
[he certainly LOOKS like he hasn't slept in 2 days]

And, as I stated before, you were the most likely target for elimination throughout the night due to your immunity. ...Of course, I wasn't going to miss a chance to catch a murderer just because you declined to cooperate with my stake-out.

Have I? I don't recall making any threats. When did I, Great Detective Furudo Erika, make a threat against you, Arataka-san?
no subject
no subject
Non. Mais, non! And, because I am the detective, presented with a mystery. My little grey cells are hard at work on this case. Therefore I feel very calm in terms of emotions.
But, that is smokescreen, yes? You did not answer my question. I made no threats to you, Arataka-san. Your argument is, therefore, invalid.

... [pause]
I believe you, at least, in this respect.

Good.

"You can't prove psychics don't exist, therefore I can claim I am a psychic."
"Things happen that cannot be explained, therefore I can claim I am a psychic."
"I did not attempt to murder you this time, therefore I will never do so."
Your beginning claim is true in each case. ...I cannot prove psychics don't exist. There are things that happen that cannot be explained, due to unknowns that cannot, yet, be discovered. And, indeed I believe it, you did not attempt to murder me this time.
It's your conclusion that lacks sound reasoning. The first, the problem of the Devil's Proof: I do not have the burden of proof. The second, a false dichotomy and an appeal to ignorance: there is insufficient investigation to fully comprehend the unexplained. The third, the problem of induction: just because you did not do it this time does not mean you will never.
... But, yes.
You should take a little pride, Arataka-san.
You see?
As the detective, I am concerned with the truth. When the truth is you are innocent, everything is fine... isn't it?
no subject
Okay.
I checked my room, by the way. It's nice to know you aren't just staking it out. You put tape on my door, huh?
no subject
Indeed. It's a detective's trick. You can't remove the tape without breaking it, and you can't replace it because you can't replicate my signature. Since the tape was still whole, I knew your door remained sealed since I placed it; better than a lock.
Of course, there are no other entrances or exits into the dressing rooms.
