Thank you! This was last year at Ange's birthday party, so they've both grown quite a bit since then. She's a really good kid, I hope she's doing alright right now, at least she won't know I'm gone yet, since we were away anyway...

[She laughs, because they're idiots, but they're her idiots.]

[ Oops, he's needy, but who can blame him? ]

[Oh no, he's cute too. She absolutely beams, because that's definitely the best dare possible and throws her arms around him.]

[ he smiles and hugs her back. ]

[The one who actually lives with her doesn't count since he's not hers.]

Shit, you're actually asking. It has to do with a game we all played. [ Hopefully she'll assume it was the fun kind. ]

I mean, if you don't want to answer something you don't have to, I won't push you about anything if you tell me that's off limits. The same goes for any joking around, you can tell me if I go too far.

[Considering what she's heard relating to the game, though, she's not assuming it's the fun kind.]

I can't do that. I have to answer everything and do everything. I need the points for her.

As much as I feel the same way, I could always ask something else you know! Still, I hope that you're comfortable enough with me to take the more difficult options, particularly if they're of more benefit.

[ He's being serious about this, and it shows. He's admitting a weakness. He barely ever does this. ]

[It does seem like he does, but she has to be sure, and even the thought breaks her heart. In the best way, but it does hurt. Her fingers try to grasp his sleeve.]

[ He looks her in the eye with a sincere look. ]

[Oh Jesus here we go, he's too sweet and it's going to be the death of her. She shouldn't have caught that look, it's probably more than she deserves, and she has to hide her face in a hand.]

Thank you. Me too, I would be honoured to have you as a son. I'll be more of a grandmother by then, but I swear I'll look for you when our times align.
