[ The feed switches off, but only for a second before flicking back on so Ronald can add: ]

[That's what she thought, right down to the cling. And naturally she returns it in kind, with a hand on his head.

In a situation like this, there probably isn't even any point in saying something, she'll let him hug it out first.]

[ It's a good five minutes before he lets go, backing up and trying to subtly wipe at his eyes without anyone noticing. ]

Good thing I said I wouldn't follow, huh? [ Cue weird laugh. ]

It's a very good thing. I would have been keeping an eye on you 24/7 if you'd even implied anything like that.

[Just because the hug is over doesn't mean momming is over, she still has to take his face in her hands to kiss his cheek.]

[ He tries to muster up a smile for her but fails. ]

You don't have to put on a happy face, it's better not to pretend. But if you need to talk I'm here for you. And if you'd rather sit in silence, I can do that too. If you want to hit two birds with one stone, we could even make the heart-to-heart conform to truth or dare.

[ He stares down at their joined hands and squeezes in return. ]

I can't speak for how he died, or what's to become of him now, if anything, but...I think if he was looking for a way to escape, he was doing it with you in mind. You, June, Junpei, everyone. I'm sure the last thing that would have been on his mind was "I sure hate Aoi".
