...Back in third grade, Kanny was the smartest, and the kindest, and the funnest in our whole grade. So whenever I was around her, it felt...good? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that feeling counts as good.

Then you guys moved away, and it was sad, but... Well, you know, you forget stuff, and just start thinking about other things instead. But when I saw her on the stairs again after escaping my stateroom, it was like everything came rushing back. Haven't been able to get her out of my head since.
